International Skilled Worker Category
This category of SINP is targeted to accept the applications of workers who possess relevant work experience, language capabilities and intend to move to Saskatchewan. It is further sub-divided into the following streams:
- International Skilled Worker - Employment Offer: This stream recognises applications from skilled workers who have the required education, work experience and language proficiency to get through the Express Entry pool. The candidates must be eligible for one of the federal economic immigration programs- Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class.
- International Skilled Worker - Occupations In-Demand: This stream is targeted to accepting the applications of candidates who have experience in one of Saskatchewan's in-demand occupations. It does not require any official job letter to apply for the SINP.
- International Skilled Worker - Saskatchewan Express Entry: This category of SINP nominates the candidates who are already in the pool of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's (IRCC) Express Entry. Additionally, they need to have the relevant work experience in one of Saskatchewan's in-demand occupations.
Saskatchewan Experience Category
This category of SINP is targeted to accept the applications of foreign workers, already living in Saskatchewan. It is further sub-divided into the following categories:
- Existing work permit: This stream is specific to the skilled workers who are already working in Saskatchewan for a minimum time period of six months. They need to have a permanent or full-time job offer from a valid employer in Saskatchewan in a National Occupation Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B occupation, OR in a designated trade.
- Health Professionals: This sub-category is specific to the professionals working in healthcare industry. They need to have been practicing for a valid permit of six months in Saskatchewan as a physician, a nurse, or in another health profession. Additionally, they must have a full- time or permanent job offer issued by an authorised health authority or the health education institution in Saskatchewan.
- Hospitality Sector Project: This sub-category accepts the nomination from temporary foreign workers working as food and beverage servers, food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, or housekeeping and cleaning staff in Saskatchewan. The applicants should be working for at least six months under SINP-approved employer before beginning to work in Canada.
- Long Haul Truck Driver Project: The drivers working in Saskatchewan for six months are targeted under this sub-category. Before applying for immigration, they need to have a permanent or full-time job offer from an SINP approved trucking firm.
- Students:The students who have completed their graduation from a recognised post – secondary institution in Canada can apply under this sub-category. They must have worked for at least 24 months in Saskatchewan before applying.
Entrepreneur and Farm Category
Candidates who have a strong business idea and they are actively planning to operate a business or farming in Saskatchewan can apply under this category. It is further sub-divided into the following categories:
- Entrepreneur sub-category: Under this sub-category, candidates can establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan. They can actively be involved in its management by following the complete nomination process.
- Farm Owners and Operators sub-category: Experienced famers with considerable capital can apply under this sub- category. They can start their farming operation and settle in the province. Before submitting the application in SINP, the candidate is required to make an exploratory visit in Saskatchewan.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Category
This category of SINP a pathway to Canadian permanent residence for international students who want to set up their business in Saskatchewan. The candidates need to have post-secondary degree or diploma programs from an eligible institution in the province. Apart from this, the approved candidates need to operate a business in Saskatchewan for at least a year to receive provincial nomination certificate.
